VSL Mystery release??? (UPDATE: Synchron Duality Strings)

I have Synchron Strings Pro and amateur that I am, I'll probably never fully exploit Strings Pro let alone the Duality Strings but let me ask those of you who have Strings Pro and have since purchased Duality, are you still finding any use for Strings Pro?
Synchron Strings Pro has pianissimo and flautando articulations for very soft playing. However, there is still two more Duality libraries coming, and they probably cover these. Also, Pro has the 'Senza vibrato' option.

Did VSL announce that two more were coming? I'm guessing I just missed that.

Guess my vouchers are going to collect dust. I'm thinking solo strings aren't even on the radar
Good thing: they do not expire. And of course Synchron Solo Strings are going to be released at some point. Shame you feel like you need to whine about the release priorities of a sample vendor and quote me.

Wow, he just expressed his opinion. If he has been expecting Solo Strings for a long time, and was disappointed, that's normal he feels frustrated, it's only human. And I'm sure many other people feel like him.
Hey, I am expressing mine. Deal with it.

@Mitsu99 @Robert_G I’m sorry - I’m being a jerk here. I was kind of angry with something else, went on the internet and made a stupid comment. I apologize. Mitsu was right to call me out.

Sorry! Won’t happen again. I was acting like a total jerk here. Peace? 🤍

Yeah....100% I can say that I've never done that on the internet.
All good.....

I read a lot of your posts here and appreciate them, so I was kind of surprised. I should have thought something else could have upset you today. No problem.

In that case, I'm excited for the Solo Strings and Con Sordino strings. It will be interesting to see how they stack up against OT Con Sordino Strings.

Seeing this amount of wholesomeness is a real black cat in the matrix moment.
I think a reset is imminent.
This forum is a magical place I swear

I wouldn't be surprised if we see solo strings before the end of the Duality...flankers? Spinoffs? Sequels? Series? It's unusual for VSL to say that much about the future, but we don't know how far along the solo strings already are. And it's encouraging to watch VSL up their game one string library after another.

I just stumbled across this YT video.

I don't have allot of experience using orchestral VSTi's but wow, this library in this demo, to my ears, sounds the most realistic of any I've ever heard.

I'm sure much of it has to do with Mr. Bachus' skill but it makes me want to purchase this library even though I really can't justify it.

Yes, strings pro have the dynamics patches that I love, and just a different overall sound, they're less rich but a bit more polished sounding (Synchron Strings Pro sounds more like a modern film score, where Duality sounds more like live strings players IMO). Duality is really rich, and warmer/thicker than any VSL string library I've heard to date. There is a common complaint that VSL strings libraries can sound thin and while I do love them, I usually have to (somewhat) agree when compared with their competitors, they can lack warmth and body, but a lot of it also has to do with the default room mixes and eq settings that are applied by default. The mid mics can be very strident in Synchron and add unwanted frequency buildup, which sounds a bit metallic, nasally, shrill, etc and when those are the dominating frequencies, it can sound thin.

Anyway, I love using the dynamic crescendos and decrescendos in Strings Pro and Elite Strings, but the added texture in Duality is seriously awesome and adds depth, character, and ultimately realism to my ears. If Duality had those dynamics patches I would probably just go for that 90 percent of the time.

Here's a fun thing I did writing a demo for the SLR review, written in under half an hour and using all instruments and quite a wide variety of legatos and shorts. There's a (slightly different) version with Areia strings 1.2 legato update here (which I took longer to get right and make sure they both sounded as good as possible) if interested in hearing them back to back. VSL really nailed the agile legato for runs and ostinatos, tbh no other strings library even comes close, used to be Spitfire Symphonic, Chamber, BBCSO, and CS2 were the only libraries that could even remotely attempt runs, and they still do it well, but VSL does it better plus makes repeated ostinatos sound great.
