As one who recorded there many times including a month ago, the video demo does sound like the hall. my private impulse was dome many years ago and it was fairly simple sampled impulse.

I did a quick short test with Cinematic Studio Strings. It's just the default "The Hall" preset the plugin opens with, all the sections running through the same instance and set quite wet to hear the hall well;

What I'm getting at is: is this worth the CPU hit and extra time needed to set it up, if I want to use room baked into samples.

You mean for samples already recorded in Air? I doubt it would sound better.

Could a 'cut-down' demo version be on the cards?

I have buses per stem. Realistically, I'd need to be very certain about loading times and CPU usage before putting this across a template, and dropping so much money.

If anyone here uses altiverb, and has pulled the trigger, how are you finding this?

Paul says in the other thread that the current version of the plugin only has one stereo output, but that they are researching multiple stereo outputs for a future update.

Unfortunately that means I'm out for now, as most of my templates are 5.1. I would have to use Nugen Halo Upmix on top of this plugin...

It looks and sounds really nice in Paul's walkthrough. The biggest question for most of us would be how much of a CPU hog it will be if we have to run multiple instances of the plugin. This will be a fall or Black Friday sale for me after I upgrade to a Mac Mini this summer. Trying to put something like CSS or Century Brass in that hall will be fun to work with.
