How did you take 2 backups of your libraries? Did you just simply copied all the installed libraries and pasted them in 2 separate SSD drives?

My active libraries are all on ssd, but the backups are on normal HD's.

And yes, i just copied them on the two hd's, beside having Timemachine Hd for backing mac os status, and also for emergency recovery a separate hd for a weekly carbon copy clone of the system drive, and also 2 backup hd's for the logic projects/ videos/ audio- recordings.

As we say in Germany: "Ich habe Pferde kotzen sehen" , means like i have seen horses vomitting.

Never work without a solid backup :)

Cool!! I asked because I want to confirm that I am not alone but the difference is that I don't have 2 backups of my libraries. I just have one backup for all installed libraries, an OS image for my Windows, all libraries source ISO files, courses, videos, and Cubase projects. I am also using HDD for the backup.

Looks like I will buy an additional HDD as a spare in the future.

It is quite frustrating, just (in May) bought jeager for normal price and now this sale. Audio Imperia told me there won't be a sale in "immediate future". Sure, there is no rule what "immediate future" means.

Is it already possible to use existing serial for an Jaeger update via native access?

I will tell you something even worse about frustration.

I bought both SFT Multiverse and Dark Dimensions last week for $118. And the sale started after a week offering "Legacy" that includes an additional Event Horizon and Terraform for only $99. :barefoot:

You are dead certain not alone.
We're spending thousands in libraries.
You know this equation with bicycles?

Spend 10% of your money in a bike lock!

Sign up to Microsoft family, Create 6 accounts with 1tb each...

Then install Stablebit CloudDrive and Drivepool.

Pool the cloud drives into one volume. Create a sync for your samples and back them up to the cloud.

6TB of online cloud storage automatically backed up. The drive powered by the cloud behaves and looks like a local disk attached to your computer.

Well, I prefer on-site backup. I still don't trust cloud storage much. That's just me :)

You should have three backups.

One local, one offsite and one in the cloud.

I have my sample library on SSD pool. This is backed up to my server in another building This server is mirrored to my backup server in my study. The backup server then backups up to the cloud.Once I install a new sample library that’s it....it’s backed up automatically in 3 different locations.

I must admit, one offsite makes sense, as your house can burn down.
You never know.

But i still have my problems with clouds.

It’s in another building connected via a VPN....

If the cloud storage goes offline...who cares? I have local One. Backup two, offsite backup 3 and cloud...

Sounds like a pretty disaster recovery plan. VPN too? I feel like a corporate employee protecting assets.

Photos, home videos go the same backup route...However these files are not stored locally on my Music PC. They are stored in a Media server with duplication enabled on the pool.

Backup server watches Media Server and syncs Media server files to itself. Once copied the backup server then uploads the files to the cloud.

If you think about backups you’re doing it wrong.

No, it's not doing it "wrong". It's doing it "simple". What you're doing is a more bulletproof disaster recovery plan that has its own cost. Marsen said spend 10% in a bike lock but you're spending 30%. Depends on how far you want to go with your recovery plan. There is no right or wrong but there is safe or risky. I can say that my current backup plan is satisfactory and safe.

You misunderstand me...I meant backups should just happen as soon as a file is downloaded without even thinking about it...:)
