How many pianos do you really have?

For a bit of fun I'm curious how many piano VST's you have, I get the sense that a lot of users here have probably more than they should but they really fall in love with the sound (if the ultimate comparison thread is any indicator).

I know myself I have at least 20 different pianos (not counting the stock DAW options), though I am sorely tempted by Walker D especially since it's on sale at the moment.

In the same vein what's your favorite at the moment?

Even though I play piano, I don’t own a lot of dedicated piano VSTs. I think I only own about five, which is quite low compared to my string library count.

The one I use most when in my DAW is Noire by Native Instruments.

I’m thinking about picking up a VSL piano next, perhaps the CFX.
 
I have two standard libraries: BBC Symphony Orchestra Piano and Orchestral Grand by Spitfire. I also have Pianoteq 8 by Modartt, which is a "Swiss Army knife" piano library.
 
The piano is my main instrument, so I have quite a few piano libraries. This includes a carefully curated collection of free titles, mostly from Pianobook and also some other sources. My commercial go-tos are from NI (I have all of them except Claire for the time being) and SA, plus a few other developers. The piano I usually reach for is probably Noire due to its versatility.

Each type and brand of piano has its own distinctive tone and feel that is more or less suitable for a certain kind of music. Therefore, I'm generally happy to have a wide selection to choose from. Though I must admit struggling with what to choose in some cases.
 
I just have the NI pianos from Komplete about 5 years ago (before Noire) and Pianoteq full.
I basically use Pianoteq for everything.
Switched to using it live last year using Studio Logic Numa X GT as a controller.
It feels and sounds amazing. Other band members noticed the difference in sound immediately (those of them using IEM’s). Also use it for Rhodes and EPs etc. Was previously using Nord for live but really as good as it is it’s not a patch on PT. So I haven’t bothered getting any more sampled pianos really. I think the gain (if there is any) compared to drive space and loading times would be close to nil.
 
Basically I just have 1. :grin: Chroma Grand Piano by Sonuscore, that I use just for everything.

I also have Hammersmith Free by Soniccouture, but I personally haven't find it useful, while I have Chroma, so I'm actually thinking of removing it. I also have Piano Soft Ritual by EnjoySamples for free too, but it's detuned.
I often use pianos from Omnisphere 2, but of course they are not really acoustic.

I don't have projects yet, where I need another piano, rather than Chroma. I usually drool over the acoustic pianos on the NI website, so I think of maybe getting some during a sale.

Oops, I forgot that I have some pianos on Musio! I should give them more attention)

At least 15 paid and 15 free.
I quite like Native Noire, UVI Austrian Grand, EW QL Bosendorfen 290.

Disclaimer : I am not a pianist.
 
Got 8 after deleting a few freebies last month. Main ones that I use are Noire, Originals Intimate Grand Piano, and most recently Fracture Sounds Woodchester Piano.

Ascend and Allure I use now as fillers for background and textures. Homestead Piano for sketching after buying Woodchester, and I'm still trying to get the feel of Alt Piano and BBCSO Piano.
 
Not nearly as many as others, but they sure cost enough.

I'm not sure what's worse, having 500% more pianos than I really need, or the fact that I keep a list of everything in a spreadsheet.
