No, I get it and agree. I like when I can look for a color or design and know what it is. But it doesn't help when a lot of libraries are the same. I probably have a hundred libraries to search through. I'd blame a lot of it on these darn NI bundle deals, but really? I'm not complaining. I've bought a lot of VI's that I would not have bought otherwise and most have been very useful.

I only own Hangar 4 (Merethe Soltvedt) from Audio Imperia. This surely is a great deal in very expensive times like these

I know. It used to be you saved up and spent a horrendous amount of money between Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Xmas. Now it seems to go year round. But, for the most part, the sales are a little better. And my budget is gone for the month. Fortunately, the new month starts next Wednesday, at least for my budget.....
 
@audioimperia - You might want to adjust the level of that front end stinger on the walkthroughs. I doubt most professionals appreciate having their ears blasted even at low volume levels. I didn't.
 
Looking forward to the legato smoothness and performance patches for Nucleus!

I'm assuming it would still be better to buy Areia through the AI website if you have a loyalty code? Guessing NI's site doesn't respect those?

For those that have Jaeger and Nucleus, do you find them duplicative? It feels like they cover very, very similar territory, including articulations. Even the brass sections are pretty close in terms of sizes.

I could see Talos being an interesting addition to Nucleus (though Cinebrass Pro is not that far off the price right now and comes with a lot more instruments / patches in addition to the 12 horn and monster brass patches). For Cerberus, I believe it is a large sounding drum kit, but doesn't seem like it includes things like Taikos, Dhols, metals, etc. that you would find in other epic drum libraries like Strikeforce or Damage 2.
 
I'm honestly a little curious what Talos and Cerberus do that Jaeger can't pretty much do by itself.

Anyone care to share their experiences?
 
I prefer Jaeger over Ark 1. The Trumpets are fantastic.
The performance patches make live so much easier ...
Legacy is exactly what I wanted (I was hoping that they would match up with the trailer guitars). Talos sounds great (maybe a little bit synth, but not bad).
Cerberus is the perfect addition to Medusa.

I find the playability excellent.

Best purchase ever from all NI Sales so far! It was a steal!

Cerberus are ensembles, 3 players I guess. Great addition to the Jaeger Percussion.
 
Cerberus also contains some loops. But quite frankly, as an owner of Damage 2, PercX, Drumatic Creator, and several other big perc libraries, I'm not feeling the pull of Cerberus.

Also, as someone who already owns Jeager and Areia, the big AI bundle currently on offer sadly doesn't quite hit the mark for me. If it included Nucleus instead of Jaeger, I might've considered it.

However, this in no way diminishes the great job AI have done updating their product line and the generous sale! Excellent work, Audio Imperia!! 👏


P.S. I still would love some woodwinds for Jaeger 🙏
 
I was listening to Cerberus demos, and for me, there is not much variety in the type of percussion instruments it offers, it's kind of limited sonically. I might be wrong, but that's my first impression.

I have enough perc. libraries anyways, I recently added Damage 2, and didn't even have the time to discover it. :)

THIS. Trumpets are a hidden gem. Easy to work with...great tone.

Man, I echo everyone else who said they miss some color in these interfaces. Its an ergonomic thing jumping around quickly.....maybe even if the top bar or emblem around the title was just colored that would help.
 
Some kind of color indicator in the UI would be nice. But isn't it ironic that all the Arks are the same color, and no complaints. Not to mention the always-black UI of the SINE player, regardless what library is loaded.

Then there's the Hollywood Orchestra upgrade this fall And Black Friday is just a few months away.
 
Have had my eye on Nucleus for a while. One question – I keep hearing about a 250ms offset on the Nucleus legatos? I've seen tutorials of people using Cubase to add a track offset to compensate... but I'm using Reason currently which is 'too cool' to implement such features. Does this mean the notes aren't on grid by default? Can I just ignore this and play Nucleus in Reason out of the box? Thanks
 
Audio Imperia's interface is near the top of the heap for me - good use of space, relatively easy to read. I remain amazed at how skeuomorphic audio software it, sometimes unnecessarily and gratuitously so.

Still, some color coding would look great - feels like it's another casualty of Kontakt's old-school UI implementation.

Try it and see.

If it doesn't line up, Voxengo makes a free plugin, but I think it's limited to 99ms or so? I remember not being able to go to 250, for example, in my DAW (which also can't compensate that dramatically).
