For those who have installed Areia and/or Jaeger ver. 1.1, how do you like the new improved Strings Legato Smooth functionality that was added to fix the bumpy legato in the previous version ?

Yes, I believe the Big Knob and associated effects have been removed. Quite frankly, I never found a use for it. Any processing I might want to do on the orchestra, I can accomplish better with external plugins.

And if I recall correctly, the step sequencer was only for modulating effects, again something that can be done externally. I actually found the implementation of the sequencer effects to be a little confusing.

I'm not going to miss either feature, and am much happier they supplemented Jaeger with some selected articulations from Talos instead. But that's just me...

Good point. I want also to make sure that the new Jaeger have the same features as the old Jaeger. I loved the old Jaeger epic GUI with that glowing big knob.

For sure, it seems like those features were likely taken out to make the plugin comply to the simplified UI in the Pyramid engine. It's nothing I would likely use much either to be honest.

It happens with Risenge Pro as well so I would say the animations definitely slow things down. I’m about to borrow a 16 core Mac Pro so I’m hoping that speeds it up (an option to turn it off would be good if it affects performance). Still, when I’m in the mood for a bit of fun, I appreciate the animations. But yeah, waiting is a drag.

I’m not sure about everything being uniformed. Depends. Things can be a bit soulless if it’s function over form. Tricky to get a good balance.
 
I just tried re-downloading and reinstalling Jaeger via Native Access (to get the vocal folder) and after 84% downloaded I keep getting an error: "Download Jaeger failed: server temporary overloading or maintenance" message. Anyone else getting this?

Yes, I just bought the complete bundle. And I also got the same message while downloading Jaeger.
The others appear to download as they should, though.
