Feature Requests* for BBC Pro and Core *(Please Read 1st post)

Hey all...figured it's time to start a dedicated thread that is only about: wanted and needed features as well as any bug fixes regarding the BBC Pro library. I am aware that there are tons of complaints in the other thread...some are mine :), but now that I have the library, I see where the improvements can be made (if possible of course). I think this may benefit SFA more than a very long thread that is not focused on this subject...I'd like this to be informative, rather than an aggressive thread.

***I also want to try and keep the discussions to a minimum, and just focus on suggestions. This way if SF does look at this thread, it will be more to the point.

I am hoping that tagging the Spitfire team will have them take a look here and take some notes.

Let's also try and be concise with our suggestions...keeping it simple and short per post is best for coherency if SF decides to take a look.

@Spitfire Team , @SpitfireSupport , @paulthomson , @christianhenson

I will start: Please make the GUI default to the same view as when I close it. So if I have the mic view up because I am adjusting mics throughout the library, I'd like to not have to keep clicking on the sliders to get it in view. Sure, this is a bit of an OCD thing, but it does make sense...or give us the option to set a default without having to save the patch.

Hy, good idea this thread.

I would like to be able to adjust the volume when 2 or more articulations are stacked.
I would like to have permanent access to vibrato, thightness, reverb, and variation sliders on the main GUI with the mouse. There's left space. Or more mics on one page.....
I would like to see a multi mode (multitimbral).

And of course, i hope this product will go to V2 with new articulations, new instruments, and of course a Choir....all in the same room with multi mics.
A real all in one product. The ultimate one.
BBCSO came out one year ago....So.... this was just the beginning.....one year later....bring us fresh things Spitfire .
Thanks.

I wish for three things:

1. Faster loading player and samples.

2. Ability to load/unload articulations by simply alt-clicking on them so you don’t have to go into the editor to do this.

3. Consistent timing (pre-delay) between instruments, notes, velocity layers and round robins so you can set pre-delay on track level instead on per note level.

Just trying to also keep it concise...so maybe 1-2 suggestions..this makes it a bit clearer if SF decided to have a look. But all good suggestions.

Improvements made for the legatos and the option to have the legatos without the overlays/programming for the strings and better crossfades for the brass.

Strangely enough, I received an email from SF this morning saying that you can disable the overlay. But didn’t say how. Lol. I’ll need to look into that then.

That's interesting. I'd be interested to know how? I know you can use the sustain pedal which I think is suppose to remove them but when I messaged spitfire support about it they did not recommend using the sustain pedal to remove the overlays, they said that it can be more unpredictable when it comes to triggering the transitions when using the sustain pedal.

I emailed them for more info. I’ll report back.

- different GUI color or larger, more visible or bigger label - black is to black
- making better use of the space of the GUI
- more layers, better transitions
- new trombones
- new solo horn
- multitimbal
- other copy protection (1 hard disk can be used on X computers without any effort)
- stack mode for articulations via KS
- not only activate the extended legatos by default
- back to Kontakt

... (if I think about it a bit longer I can think of even more).

It seems you just want a different product

Wow. An actual dedicated thread made solely for the purpose of requesting updates and bug fixes.

Is BBCSO really that plagued?

*Genuine question.

I would say all libraries have issues. It’s the scope of the BBC that makes it more vulnerable to having more issues. It’s not one instrument, it’s the whole orchestra. Also it’s SF’s own GUI So it’s not perfect yet...but we can get it there. Lol
