Relaunch Today Spitfire Symphony Orchestra (Strings, Brass, Woodwind, Percussion, Harp & Piano)

My two questions are:
1. Can the sections be downloaded separately?
2. Do crossgrades stack if I own more than one of the sections, or is it one of any and same for everyone?

I guess we'll find out in an hour!
 
This sounds awesome. Looks like my crossgrade is £247 as have sss pro which would give me the woods, brass, perc and piano! And it looks like you actually get the outriggers which is great news.
 
Do you get the legatos for woods and brass? I just looked over the articulation list for the brass and woods and can't see legatos for most of the instruments in brass and woods.
 
I'm assuming brass and woods do infact come with the performance legatos as it says it in description but looks like they may have accidently left the performance legatos out of articulation list for brass and woods.

Most likely. The product page seems to be a bit of a work in progress in general, for example the main section about strings only mentions CTAO mics but the "What's included"-list includes Leader as well.

(not sure if i wipe the old version from the ssd, or just install this new version alongside)

just some questions:

what is the exact difference between SSO PRO and this?
Only mic differences, or more? (maybe less velocity layers? less round robins?)
Just a simple compare matrix would do.

And if there are differences, will there be a new pro version too? (with all the mics?)
(and free for PRO owners ofcourse)

What about the complete edition, which i own (including e.g. Aluphone, steel drums, Scraped cymbals) ? Will there be a new complete (relaunched) edition too?

What about the Chamber strings editions of SSO?

Soooo many questions... haha

i guess i will see later this evening.

The manual offers some insights for anyone interested:
- Performance legato patches for all brass instruments that had legatos before (sadly no solo trombones still!)
- Woodwinds don't seem to include performance legatos? Hopefully it's just an oversight in the manual

For all other customers who own any, but not all of the above products, there will be simple crossgrade pricing for you to upgrade to the new library. At launch at 5 pm GMT, make sure you are logged in to see your pricing.

Walkthrough, patch list, and demos will all be available on our website at 5 pm GMT.

Please tell me the keyswitching scheme is unchanged so I don't have to redo all of my articulation sets and can just drop in the new nkis!

Ooh... that is less promising...
However, it might be that they will do a new pro relaunch later on, which DOES include these mics*
(i hope so anyway)

*free for current owners of the older (available till today) SSO PRO/Complete
(i am not going to pay twice for things i already have)
