In another topic, it seemed a number of people are big fans of Sergei Prokofiev.
I am a fan too, and about a year ago I gave myself a little assignment for study.
I tried to intentionally imitate his style. I would welcome any comments, or feedback on your listening experience. The setting is for 2 guitars (one a baritone) Celeste, two clarinets, Cello and Bassoon.
The mp3 is simply a note performer playback from Sibelius. I know that is sub-optimal, but I hope you can listen beyond that.
Lastly please fire away with any honest commentary. Writing in the style of Prokofiev is not a "dear to my heart" thing for me. I have no aspirations for this piece other than improving my compositional craft. So by all means fire away with suggestions.
Thanks !
