If you haven't seen "The Wire", you missed one of the most compelling performances to ever grace television screens. MKW's Omar was a complex, disturbing and ultimately and utterly human portrayal, and just one of his many fine performances. I literally shouted "NO!!" at the screen when I read this:

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeee-iiiiiiiit!

Damn - always heard once you take a ride on the horse that you can never get off

His courtroom scene on The Wire is one of the greatest courtroom scenes in television history

Yes it is. The Wire is arguably the greatest serial drama ever created, the character of Omar is arguably the most compelling of all of the many fully-drawn characters it presented, and Williams portrayal is IMHO one the finest acting performances in the history of the medium.

Saddened and surprised to read this. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
