Is MOTONE EQ worth buying

I dont know this plugin. But it does not look special and more like what is usually provides in DAWs as well.

IMHO spending money on fabfilter is maybe a better long term approach:

But if you love knobs; its a different thing.

How does it look?

It is very different from your stock EQ. They have absolutely nothing in common.
It is a 7-band fixed frequency character EQ modeled on a famous 1960s model.
It introduces interaction between EQ bands and internal clipped filter distortion.

FabfilterQ3 is great but is a completely different device. Clean and not fixed bands.

I haven't personally tried this one (I should demo it, could be interesting) but NoiseAsh is a really good company.
If you want a fantastic character EQ I really can't speak highly enough of their Pultec emulation the Rule Tec, maybe the best digital Pultec.
