As a working Composer, Orchestrator and musician who was looking to expand my skill set I ended up studying and continue to do so with M.I.T.A (Music Interval Theory Academy) Thomas Chase Jones is my mentor/guide, his IMDB credits are quite substantial!
I came from a traditional background having studied at Trinity College of Music in London but one could easily start MITA without any formal study/theory.
It works for me because I can implement the techniques and ideas straight away in any style I'm woking on and in a real world situation i.e paying gigs with the client breathing down my neck!!.
I wasn't interested in purely theoretical study, I needed a practical course that can be used in real time so to speak.
If you get a chance check out Music Interval Theory Academy.
Cheers,
