Anyone have any guesses as to what HZ put together to achieve that bass? It almost sounds like the throat singing from Dune 1 is mixed in there.

Anyone have any guesses as to what HZ put together to achieve that bass? It almost sounds like the throat singing from Dune 1 is mixed in there.

To me it sounds like a distorted double-bass.

My guess, I do hear something that resembles a pitched down human voice in there, but also something like an octo-bass or similar bowed string instrument, pitched down perhaps. There's something resonating along with it.

It's an octobass I'm 90% sure. 10 Minutes in.

I saw the movie today and found it grrreat! The soundtrack hit me pretty much like a dejavuz from part one (which I rewatched several days ago). It lacked the kind of development the story had.

Edit: oh, I just see that the thread title is chosen a bit poorly … I thought this was a general thread about the soundtrack …
