No one special
Hello,
I recently finished my first soundtrack to a film and I'm just excited to share it.
It’s a tastefully strange animated short for ‘mature’ audiences called Savage Death Valley where “[t]wo cavewomen try and survive in a perilous wasteland, where gargantuan beasts rule.”
Here’s the YouTube link to the movie:
For those who don’t want to log into their YouTube account to verify their age, here’s the Vimeo link:
The soundtrack is available here on (broken link removed):
I know it's not perfect as I:
- Succumbed to hobbyist tendencies in just layering patches that sound cool rather than keeping to an accurate or 'proper' orchestral arrangement.
- Didn't develop melodic themes to their full potential.
But I don't care - I'm sharing it with you anyway.
Anywho, thank you for taking the time to read this and hope you have a lovely day.
Enjoy your movie time.
Best,
-Luke
P.S. Ah...sample libraries used:
Primary:
- Albions I (legacy), III, and IV
- NI West Africa (for percussion and some flutes)
Secondary/supplemental:
- Complete Orchestral Collection (Peter Siedlaczek)
- The classic free Fortissimo/FF brass patches by [the name escapes me at the moment]
- Embertone's Sensual Saxophone
- NI Cuba (for percussion)
- Kirk Hunter solo strings
- X Samples flute and contrabassoon
- Hanky Tank by boscomac
- Cottage (or Cottage II?) from Atom Hub
- Sessions Horns (for a lone tuba)
- Soundiron Iron Pack 4 (children's choir)
- Kontakt Factory Library for odds and ends
- Plenty others I can't recall at the moment
