AIR Studios Reverb Discussion Thread

So nearly 4 months ago it has been said that a response would be made here 3-4 weeks later and it would be fixed. Of course, nothing. Surprised? I bet no one is surprised at this point. If it was my product (along many others) I would not get a single night of peaceful sleep. But I guess it doesn’t work like that over there.

I immediately bought the full version (Essentials wasn't out yet) and, while expensive and not without fault, I see it as one of the best investments I have ever made. I myself would find Essentials too limited.

However, in order to really get the most out of the full version, I highly recommend knowing your reverbs, also at a bit of a technical level. The full version is not a beginner's plugin. It's not obtrusively difficult, but you have to know your stuff to really fully utilise it.

That's not true. You can freely position any instrument in the Air Essentials version.

Of course, I'm not sure what would be the canonical usage in that scenario - my guess is most people use close mics + reverb rather than mixing different mic signals + reverb.

@SpitfireSupport It keeps crashing my daw or komplete kontrol while switching to the different stretch modes. Also there's some weird things going on if you use a stereo input too wide. suddenly a left positioned instrument sounds super right or the opposite of where you placed them in the room.

Holy sh.t ! Sounds great ! I did the same with my Acoustic Samples stuff but it doesn't sound any close to your example !
off-topic : Will you integrate Air Studio Reverb in your Colossus template in the near future ? :)

This has been reported a few times here over the past few months. So if you're trying to build a wide image from those channels, it's worth checking the signals closely.

Hopefully it gets fixed at some point - it's a beautiful space, and many people would love to use it to its full potential.

I know you’re just trying to be helpful here, Peter, but since you’re making and selling reverbs yourself via your company, Samplicity, you should probably leave pointing out bugs in competitors’ products to other users on the forum.

You don’t see Paul Thomson pointing out bugs in MIR Pro or other competitors’ products either 🙂

Thanks, unfortunately can't remember at all what the settings were. But samplemodeling sounds, to me, best in either berlin studio or Spitfire air. Depending on the size of room you want. For Colossal: nope. It will get updated once csp percussion releases or the css brass and strings updates.
