Does anyone know how to
(1) delete tracks from the music enhancement results panel? Chat GPT told me to click the Delete icon, but I find no such thing
(2) stop a music enhancement generation that is currently in progress? I have some currently generating, so something must be stuck. Again, I asked Chat Gpt and it told me to use the x or stop on the tracks, but there's no such thing. Even closing out Ace Studio altogether didn't stop the generation.

Absolutely agree, but I bought it to create quick mockups for choirs and backing vocals, so when the artist comes in we have a general idea ready. The stem splitting, one of the best in the industry, and the other tools are just a bonus for me.
 
That's very useful, and I have read that several composers do that. I've been using Suno to make shiny new arrangements of some old demos of songs I wrote before I had any good VSTs . I really like that.
Is there a way to at least name my covers so I can find them easily? Right now, I've got several just named "instrumental"

I've been using Synth V2 and a few other ai vocal plugins (Resing, etc). The only other app I've used to actually create vocals is Ace Studio. I tried it a little bit and then left it alone for a while, focusing on Synth V2. Recently I updated Ace studio to version 2, and I can't get anything out of it that sounds decent. Everything is very soft and none of the controls that you can draw in (breath, air, tension, energy etc) do much of anything useful. I haven't been able to find good user guide materials on the ACE site or anywhere else. Did the process of creating vocals change in some fundamental way with he release of Ace Studio Version 2?

Can anyone tell me how I can edit the lengths of consonants for V2 voices?

I've been using V1 voices exclusively, and today I selected a V2 voice without realizing it. I was mystified (and worried) when I couldn't see any of the consonants in the Editor, until I realized I was using a V2 voice. I switched to a V1 voice, and all was well.

I searched for information about consonant length for V2 voices, but found nothing.

Rather than delete, Drag the versions it created into a blank ace track (if you want to save them), the click "New Enhancement". Select the same track and when you get back in, your old information will still be there, and you can try other variations. I find that unless you change the descriptions in some way, you get a lot of similar versions. Is that your experience too?

Looking at a note and you see dark and light sections for each note. Hover your mouse and you will find the cursor changes to the [ or ] character. The end of the entire note is the length, the light section is the vowel and the dark sections is the consonants. You can drag those boundaries around and see how the sound change. I had a lyric that made learning this a requirement. "If you t t t take a chance". Getting the voice to do that stuttering 't' was a challenge. To make a consonants sound more pronounced, change the length of the dark section. It will take some trial and error till the interface becomes clear. Also, if a word has two ends in two consonants, you will see a line in the dark section indicating the length of each.
 
Has anyone tried using the "Chord" track? First I love Ace and will continue using it.
I just want to know what others think.

I find the the piano sound they selected dark and clunky and the interface even more clunky. Creating an entire songs chord progression is very tedious.

I wish we could just type the chords out in a text file and import them.

A | E/B | C#m | F#m | A | A | D |Esus2 E |

This represents 8 bars of music and took me 30 seconds type off the top of my head. Doing this with the interface would take much longer. It throws 4 bars of music at you at a time and you have to then manipulate them in a very cumbersome way, and not the way the typical keyboard player thinks about chords.

Sorry if this sound too harsh but it feels like a graphic designer was tasked with creating this interface and not a keyboard player.

Maybe a text box to the right that I could just type in and edit, then the chords would just appear in the interface where I could tweak it if needed.

Please comment. I want to hear your ideas.
 
Just subscribing to this conversation. I tried the new V2 last night for a bit and it feels they've gone backwards. And mostly in a completely different direction I thought they were going...

I confess I liked the idea of an AI tool that was completely under the composer's control, as opposed to all the AI generated crap that seems to be all over the place these days. But it appears they've gone for the "I don't have any ideas, education or talent but I want to make music" market. Maybe that's where the money is, so fair enough. But the UI is just different, not better, and I still get random results occasionally that seem to ignore my edits... Sigh!
