Ultra melancolic chorale - LS Chamber Strings

Lovely piece and enjoyed it. The piano sounds fine for me in the piece, only I would carry over maybe the strings or voice for a few bars in the transit from the intro to where the piano starts.

Also, there are very tiny noise artifacts in your piece (straigth in the beginning), just very minor and likely a render issue.
Very nice piece Boris, enjoyed it very much!

Enjoyed this alot. You have a gift for expressing direction and motion in music where others might fall flat. :D:D

wow .. replaced the LASS divisi strings with recently purchased LSCS (Light and Sound Chamber Strings). This really comes out a lot smoother and silkier than the LASS chamber section IMHO .. also went a bit more orchestral and added a solo-strings section to add more contrast ..

don't get too sad listening to this :P

thanks all :)

Yeah, I'm quite happy with LSCS - at least for this sustained 4part writing.

It also blends very well with CSS, giving it a bit cripser and brighter note

Hey,

I read you have both CSS and LSCS. Do you find LSCS is smaller and more intimate sounding for creating that smaller string section sound? I have CSS and have been trying and failing to recreate a specific sound and I've since been looking for a Chamber String library that might do the job.

Thanks

hey .. yes, LSCS does sound smaller and more intimate than CSS - which was exactly what I was looking for. Combined with other libraries (not only CSS) it really adds something to the sound. Didnt use it too much as a stand-alone library yet. If you want a more classical chamber sound I would have a look at VSL chamber strings as well

Sounds great - sets a somber but a bit yearning mood with both the tutti strings and the more intimate parts. Not much to add, except the cello came in a little bold at [1:24]. Not that its ongoing volume was too high for espressivo but I would have ramped it a little. Also, IMO the female voice didn't add much for me when it appears here and there, almost sounds like a theremin. I'm going to have to check out LSCS. Cheers.
