New to the forum

Hi there,

I'm an amateur violin player who is starting to get into recording my own music. I'm starting to learn how to record and then edit my own music using Ableton. When I was googling around for answers to questions, this forum came up a lot with answers to my questions, so I thought I would sign up.

Hello and welcome! Have a look around and make use of the search function and you can find all manner of wonderful ideas, tips, and awful jokes. Never be afraid to ask a question if there is something you need to know. As a tip, it helps to do so on a thread that is currently active and is on the same general topic; that way more people with relevant interests are likely to see it.

There are a lot of great composers, musicians, and half-baked amateurs (hello!) on here and we are all looking to learn and/or help each other out.

Just, you know, beware of string libraries. Some people develop serious addictions...
