Hi, i did not introduce myself.
I am Alex, from Germany, i play (in reality) guitar and bass.
I am also interested in game development.
Here, on this small asteroid clone, i created everything, music, sounds and graphics, programming.
Asteroids was one of the first games i played (on Atari 7800).
I am not too happy with the jet engine effect.
Fun fact, the expolsions are (like most of the sounds, also the Jet Engine) from FM8, the explosions are from a steam engine, i guess :D
There is also a cheesy title theme in the menu.

For the space pads i also used Eventide Blackhole.
At the moment i work on a 3D version of it.

Your game has broken me. I wasted many quarters (1/4 dollars) playing Asteroids when I was a kid, at the mall, in skating rinks, or at bowling alleys.

I suck at this. I'm impressed with your game, especially since you have to cram the sound elements into clock cycles. Don't give up. This destroyed a US citizen living on the north coast. You win.

Also, don't give up on hanging out and finding out about the musical parts. There are classical people who are into orchestra, and synth people who can absolutely help out with FM synthesis, and djent people, and class clowns like me who love it all.

Welcome, and burn your game. I can't do anything with it. ;)
