FTP Download 550: Permission Denied???

I get error message "550: Permission denied" when trying to download something I am supposed to have access to. Could there be something on my side causing this? I can see the files on the FTP server.

Any suggestions?

If it works from one computer and not from another, it could have to do with IP filtering. If it does not work at all, you should check back with the administrator if you really and/or still have the rights to access the files. Things could have changed on short notice. There are different settings for listing, downloading and uploading of files which don't necessarily have to be the same setting alltogether (allowed or denied).

Sometimes this happens if you're not using an FTP client like this one:

It shouldn't matter which or if you use a FTP client software. But maybe you are using one and accidently set the login method to "anonymus" as this is sometimes only a check mark away from login type, and the letters would stay in the boxes making you think you'd still have logged in with your log on ID.
