Thanks Ryan,I am a big big fan of the century series both the brass and the strings, I'm waiting and waiting for a woodwinds section to complete this wonderful collection.
As far as the ensemble itself, its got a ton of articulations and they're great sounding. I personally really like the interface. Some people really dislike the way the speed knob is used for some of the one-shot samples, as I've used it more and more I appreciate the preciseness of it, though it does slow workflow down slightly (copy/paste for CC is your friend for sections doing the same articulation speed).
These samples can do really nice, lush, and rich sounds, and I think its definitely where they shine the most compared to other libraries doing something similar, but can go very aggressive as well. Overall its very versatile and great sounding, I use them a lot with my other main brass library being SSB. At the current price its a great deal, the main problem is that you'll probably be reaching for that solo library soon after, the flugelhorn is freaking magic.
I really do like the tone of this library. It sounds so natural! The thing is that I recently bought Cinematic Studio Brass, and I was wondering if the libraries could work hand in hand together, or if it was too much of an overlap. I watched the walkthrough, and appreciate the difference in sound between the close mics and the DECCA mics. It leaves a lot of room for using our own processing.
