Fantastic! I just bought the Malmsjö, been eyeing it for a while. I still haven't received the kontakt instrument, do you manually send those out or is the automated system just a bit slow? :) itching to play!
 
Don't worry about the "pending payment". It happens sometimes. Our routines are to send out all .nkis manually. During the sale we are working overtime to get all orders out swiftly.
 
Bought the Malmsjö GVI (having bought the original Kontakt library) and immediately put it into a project to replace Alicia key´s piano. I love the Mlmsjö. Lots of character and a round timbre. Hard to beat for ballades and cinematic context. With the curent offer you don´t have to think twice.

Art Vista Virtual Grand Piano, and the following VGP2 were Kontakt Player instruments. When releasing VGP3 we left the Player platform, but remained in Kontakt. The Malmsjö had its own dongle-protected stand-alone player when it was released as a GVI instrument (GIGA Virtual Instrument.) Unfortunately Tascam discontinued GigaStudio, and further development and support of the GVI Player instruments stopped.

In "Malmsjö GVI for Kontakt" the GVI instrument has been re-sampled to include the effect of the proprietary DEF filters in the GVI. The DEF filters could be individually programmed for each velocity layer to gradually increase the harmonics and provide a smoother transition between layers, as well as increase the dynamic range. I think Tascam even showcased the filters by creating a piano complete with all dynamics out of a single sample layer.

The current Malmsjö GVI for Kontakt includes all previous incarnations of the Malmsjö, even the GigaStudio versions. The Tascam GVI dongle-protected standalone instrument is not included, but as described, it is re-sampled into a Kontakt instrument (sample).
 
Just one clarification: owners of VGP2 Kontakt Player instrument may upgrade to a Player-compatible version of VGP3.
 
If you need some unique, piano sounds other than a straight grand that work great in multiple settings, try SuperGrand. A cool blend of two virtual pianos.
 
Hello Hans, I tried to buy the Malmsjo, but my country is not listed in the cart software, so Paypal would not allow me to complete the payment, is there some way around that maybe?
