Anyone pull the trigger on this one?

    Thoughts?

Looks like it's more of the same? Kind of expensive for this oversaturated genre even at intro price? Is it redundant if you already have the original title?

I asked myself, do I want this? yes
And, do I need more of this? No

    So saved the money.

Anyone bought this and has some impressions to share?
I am tempted, but i have half of the BOOM libraries used in this VST allready, so i am in doubt if i should get it or not.

The price is right (crossgrade) the reviews are fair and the demos (most are dressed) sound good.
But would love to hear from the users here how this is working for them (or not).

Well, it’s just much easier and more instant to work with (search and combine). I had most of the same original sounds from Boom, but even with their category listing system I was often lost. So this is like having Boom inside a handy instrument.

I really liked the first one. The next one is looking just as great.

Has anyone else tried this yet? The Boom sounds are great. I like hits that are not too over designed that I can layer. This set seems to have the big impact but still kind of open sounding too.

Too expensive for my tastes and for being just an fx library.

I particularly like the engine. Makes those Boom sounds come alive and above all manageable.

For these kinds of effects you need a sampler I think cos auditioning by dragging in wavs to your DAW is a major pain!

It's a kontakt instrument. You don't need to drag wavs into your DAW.

Yes I got it. It's really great. The sounds are high quality. The engine manage to make the sounds even better.

Also, this library blends well with other libraries. I had a lot of fun using it with other sounds and the results were awesome.

This is good to know. I have Gravity which is flexible but often sounds quite sci-fi and complex. Soundbits samples are similar. Also got Rise & Hit which can lack clout.

I also have Gravity and it blends really well with it.The combined sounds are great for epic stuff.

Do you actually get the wav files as well?

Having those Boom sounds in SampleLogic’s engine is like a match made in heaven.

    Yes you do

Just bought this last night and playing with it now. Most of the Boom sounds are less heavily designed than others or at least have a simpler and cleaner feel which makes them better for layering across a already dense tune. Props to Sample Logic for not going overboard with the GUI. It is super simple but with enough controls to tweak. Really handy to have sample viewer and easy and accurate access to sample start. That's me done for trailer type effects then!
