Torn between updating from K10U to K12 (£51 including my loyalty points) or going to K12U (£128) just to get Thrill.

Best Service has a download option in addition to the boxed products. That's relevant for me because I am going to be away from home for almost three months and am working hard to avoid parcel deliveries during that time. Mentioning it in case someone else is in the same situation.

I assume this will appear on the Native Instruments website tomorrow.

I am not going to be away, but I am still not interested in a boxed version. But looking at what Komplete 12 has to offer compared to my Komplete 9 this might be the right time to update. Waiting for NI, but the Best Service offer seems to be as good or even better than is to be expected from NI.

So I can go from K10U to K12U-CE for $259? This is why I wait a couple years to upgrade! Holy shit that's a crazy deal, since (for me...coming from 10U) that includes the full Symphony Series + Thrill + Massive X (says it's included once it's released in June) + Replika XT + Kontakt 6 + Reaktor 6 + 50 Expansions + the Session guitars + whatever else I'll install and never use? Haha.

THIS is how you do a upgrade sale! Take notes iZotope.

NOTE: Best Service offers download option, but it's $279 vs. $259 at Time+Space (boxed).

The discounts seem to be for upgrades only. That seems odd, no?
It is pretty normal for NI to mainly do these discounts on upgrades etc. when i bought k11 a year or two ago it was 50% on upgrades and individual products, nothing on Komplete itself as far as i remember.

Is this a reliable way to upgrade via Time & Space? I was waiting for the NI sale, and this upgrade price is sooo good...would there be any reason to wait for the official NI sale, or should I jump on this?

Yeah … some head-scratching on this …. as such a large download. I think NI allows downloading just what is needed at any time ?? Not sure how Best Svc handles downloads ?
Also, my Cart at T+S shows $16.33 shipping, so costs are close.

T plus S NI FREE Shipping Resize.jpg HA! 'Free' Shipping ?

(edit)
but Best Svc is $27.83. sooo.. is what it is. :P

I would think NI would be 50% off their list price so prices would be something like
K12 Update - $99
K12 Ultimate Upgrade - $299
K12 Ultimate Update - $199

Ya - currently waiting for order instructions from Best Service. Looks like serials may come from Native Instruments. My purchase instructions include this: "Your serial number / license code for registration / activation at the manufacturer." Follow up email says "License needs to be individually ordered or generated per customer. Our service team has been informed and will see to it at once."

So I assume it'll just be directions to register at NI and download through them.

The size doesn't bother me too much, as I'll only be downloading the new stuff I want to use. The full size of CE is 900GB...but that's downloading every single product from scratch...which I'm guessing not a lot of people would require if they're coming from a previous version?

I ordered from Best Service and have the new serial under my account page now

Same here! I looked at the difference between K11 and K12U and it was crazy. (Krazy?) $276 to get the whole Symphony Essentials package, Studio Strings Pro and Horns Pro, Form, Razor, Middle East, Gamelan, etc., etc. Pretty stoked!

But I think I'm going to wait a day or two and see if I can order direct from NI. Reddit thinks the sale prices will probably show up there soon.

Yes. I don't recall for sure, but you might have to wait for the box to arrive in order to get the serial number(s).
