Thoughts on Kontakt 5.7.1 Is it safe?

Quasar, you succumbed! Resistance is futile. :)

Updated to 5.7.1 ages ago. Template is stuffed full of Kontakt instances (like most here). Operating with no problems. Interface changes take a little getting used to but just a little.

I’m on a Mac, and when I updated to 5.7.1 I lost my ability to use my Akoustik Piano library. Looks like a bug, because Native Access (or in this case Native Lost Access) seems to think I do in fact own it, but Konami puts it into Demo mode, which soon times out.

So you may not be safe after all.

I’m in the middle of trying to resolve this with NI, but it’s taken weeks to get their attention.

Good luck!

Daniel James-Perry D et al, a question for you if you don't mind.
Are any of you folks running pre Kontakt 3 libraries like the old Spectrasonics Akai-Kontakt conversions, the old Kontakt 2 and the Kontakt versions of the original Garritans. And most importantly to me are the Kompakt version of 2006 East West Orchestra Gold that was moved forword to Kontakt 3 as "nki's at the same time as E.W. was making the transition to Play.
When the 5.7.1 first came with "Native Access" replacing the old Service Center, many people on this forum complained that older libraries of theirs were no longer available to them.
N.I. told me that these are probably expired licensing issues that were not, and would not be carried forword.
I was also advised by NI that there was no way to find out what I'd lose except but to make the move and then find out after much of my templates, or how many of my older completed project files had been denuded of instruments.
I'd really like to know as I would like to move up from 5.6, but don't want to lose (or have to re-record with different libs) years of work.
I have to leave now but I'll look back tomorrow to see if there are any replies. Thanks!!

EWQLSO and EWQLSC still working fine here. For authorizing them you'd still use whatever method was used back then (registration tool?), or Service Center.

Yeah, I got the Kompakt version of East West Orchestra Gold back before I got Kontakt 2, and I've had no problem in keeping it up, I just checked Kontakt 5.7.0 and it's still there.
