Slave Machine minimal specs

Hopefully ok to bump, but for a pure sample slave is there any reason for an ssd system drive? Totally understand the need for ssd sample drives, and MAYBE for your system drive on your daw machine, but beyond booting up faster, does a system ssd help sample slaves at all?

Was searching for an answer to this exact question. Did you ever come to a conclusion?

Assuming you only just put windows on a system SSD, no it won't help sample load time. If you also put VEPro/ Kontakt/ Play on it, it'll help a bit but not much. Any additional instance of plugins will take advantage of RAM.
