Remembering Frank Wallace

My childhood guitar teacher Frank Wallace passed away this week after a long "dance with cancer" as he put it. Frank was a wonderful teacher and the first person to help me channel my small amount of musical ability into something ever so slightly more disciplined and formal. He was also a brilliant classical guitarist and an inventive composer, and made many lovely recordings of his own works and of guitar repertoire in little churches and halls around southern New Hampshire. I like to put on one of his albums while I'm cooking dinner or enjoying a glass of wine and a reflective moment, I hope you may do the same...
