At this point Berlin would be a 'just to have' buy for me
God, I can't imagine being able to make an OT-sized investment, even on sale, "just to have." I'm sitting here debating whether or not I should drop $34 on Softube Tape!
Well, technically it is just one library I was looking at. What is sad is that over the years, I have probably spent 2 to 3 times the cost of the whole orchestra on stuff that is less than half as good. Sometimes it is better to buy quality once and be done with it. It just doesn't seem as much at around $50 at a time.
I have. Just not on this. LOL!
Couldn't resist more....MA2 not on sale.....but just bought BOI1 and
my M A 2 !!!!!!! with the 100 euros voucher !!!!!
MY precious M A 2 !!!
Couldn't resist !!!!
congrats - thought about doing the same.
I didn't buy anything on BF .....not a single vst.
Wanted MA2 on sale like last year....but....
Really don't know if there will be MA4 in December with a Metropolis sale...........so couldn't wait more.
Now MA1 /2/3 TM/BOI1 are together !!!
Hope you will be able to buy it.....Really hope !!!
I want MA full series discount, too!!!!!!!! Like Berlin Main Series! OT please! Make a wish!
shockingly, i'm moving away from Ark 2.
but having all three Arks is pretty special.
I have many vsts from other companies..but since MA1, i'm focusing on Orchestral Tools.
Don't know why, but their libraries are exactly what i need.
The sound, the functions, Capsule, mics, automations...etc....
Really clever Gui and practical.
There is something ....magical.....in their libraries......don't know....
Everyone, make good music !!!!
Feel the same here, love OT.
not enough money for Berlin Percussion, but i bought strings\woods\brass.
Got Berlin Brass and Percussion. Already had BWW Revive. Didn’t have enough for the strings. It seems like a lot of people went for Berlin Strings during the sale.
bought today berlin percussion.... and now i have all main berlin collections.... too many money spent for this bf.... purchase OT like drug addiction...
Last night I had a dream I bought Berlin Strings...weird.
I spent a lot a money on their collections and was under the same impression - their policy is "OT doesn't make sales".
I sent a mail to their support and Tobias informed me that they never had a strict no-sales policy. They just didn't do it. so if you got any quotes from them I would like to know.
I read their policy on sales. It is written with a lot of fudgy adverbs: "sometimes", "usually", "rarely", "generally", etc. which allows them the flexibility to run occasional sales... even heavy discount sales. What OT won't do, however, is follow the 8Dio or Waves model where prices are slashed 50% or more throughout the year, nor will they slash prices on a product until "a good while" after it is released.
Since OT may not have run a sale on this scale before, I think customers were inadvertently lulled into an "intro price is as good as it gets" mode of thinking. These latest OT sales simply caught everyone by surprise.
Regardless, OT's policy statements like, "Similar to our very cautious use of sales, we are not a big fan of discounts. They punish loyal users and decrease their investment," and, "We very, very rarely do bigger promotions on some of our more niche collections," do give the impression that big discount sales are off the table. In light of OT's most recent sales, they may want to consider rewriting their policy.
"Similar to our very cautious use of sales, we are not a big fan of discounts."
Dear Orchestral tools,
I'm a big of discounts and shop accordingly.
