New Free: Mod Mate MIDI EFFects Plugin _ Ideas for Usage?

sostenuto

AKA _ doubtingtom37
Just saw this on Pluginguru YT Livestream today. Both PC & MAC.

https://getdunne.net/download/modmate

Here is initial description: https://github.com/getdunne/modmate

Downloaded and interested in broad applicability

CC#1 (mod wheel).
CC#2 (breath controller)
CC#4 (foot controller)
CC#67 (soft pedal)

But Guru Livestream covers some fun usage with Omni2.5 and his latest plugin: Airwave V3.

He also talks briefly about use of Machine Jam, with Spitfire Libs. Anyone doing this routinely ??

you can turn a maschine pretty easily into a cool articulation controller, if that's what he's talking about. I use mine to control the most important articulations. i have a "normal" maschine, you can label the buttons above the display easily.

Thanks ! Need to get in 'learn' mode for related info.
DAW#1 Has older Axiom Pro61 keyboard /controller with 9 Sliders_8 Knobs_8 Pads.
Maschine Jam looks cool, but no clue what it adds beyond what I have. :barefoot:

the hardware is great. i have custom layout for drum libs (HZ perc and strikeforce for instance) and i use the rest to control my DAW and therefore plug-ins. this controller can be really useful when not controlling maschine

We've expanded this plug-in and Shane was kind to offer us to put our logo on the MIDI Effect and host it at our website - https://www.pluginguru.com/products/modmate/

It can now also convert any incoming MIDI CC# into Aftertouch (or simply send Aftertouch by setting one of the 4 MIDI CC Outputs to Aftertouch) which adds even more functionality to this free MIDI effect.

The main purpose was to allow all 4 of the MIDI CC#'s that we're now using for our Omnisphere 2.5 libraries to be routed and controlled by a single MIDI controller - usually aftertouch, but Shane made it much more interesting by adding Pitch Bend Up and Pitch Bend Down to the equation. So you can now send 4 MIDI CC#'s using the 3 standard hardware options every keyboard includes (Pitch Bend Up/Down and Modulation Wheel). We decided to make this free because our goal is to sell our libraries and this helps make them work easier and more enjoyably for those that don't have any external MIDI controller hardware. Just register at our site and download away.

Cheers!
