Thanks Jay! I’m working on a fuller, more complete version, with more instruments and articulations and the same approach to dynamics. I’m thinking I will release it as both EXS24 and Kontakt.

And thank you to everyone else for using my little creation!

I’m interested in sampling where it makes the impossible possible - there are so many libraries out there that aims to make realistic sounding virtual instruments, I don’t think I can add anything interesting to that. What I am interested in is creating instruments that are born from something organic and real, but becomes something different and impossible - or as in this case, highly impractical. To me, that’s where sampling becomes an instrument in its own right, so that’s what I’m trying to create.

Full version with bass, cello, viola and violin should be out around September.

Yes, and full paid version coming soon with extra Kontakt functionality.

I have now build a brand new Kontakt version, with all new finely tuned sample start points and loop settings. There's no GUI yet, but send me a PM if you want it. I'm hoping to find a way to easily port these new settings over to the EXS version.

In other news, all material for the full version is now recorded, and I'm crazy busy editing and chopping samples. The bass sounds absolute bonkers! There's also cello, viola and violin and 1 extra long articulation AND the mother of all col legnos with 4 round robbins in all sections. It's going to be a weird beast of an instrument.
