Following on from the huge success of DRONAR: Hybrid Module earlier this year, we are pleased to announce the arrival of the second module - DRONAR: Guitarscapes from Gothic Instruments.

From shimmering ethereal pads to dark and chaotic tension-packed atmospheres, Guitarscapes is perfect for cinematic soundtrack projects, yet its ability to produce natural strumming accompaniments also make it a versatile tool for a variety of genres including Rock, Pop, Indie, Hip Hop and Ambient music.

In true DRONAR style, it takes very little effort to produce these huge complex sounds.

DRONAR automatically spreads out the chord in the mid-range, adds a root bass note, a high note and then adds evolving sound effects. Eight simultaneous different sounds are then animated with LFOs, a rhythm sequencer and arpeggiators to bring them to life.

It's really a great product. I reviewed it in this week's episode of The Samplecast (review at the 9:10 mark). The library really threw up some interesting sounds and was a lot more versatile than I was expecting - even including some strumming patches and muted articulations. I'm really interested to see where this product line goes next as each release has gone from strength to strength.

This is called the DRONAR Guitar Soundscapes Module and the word "module" has me a little confused. Is this a stand-alone product or is the original Dronar required in order to run it? If one does have the original Dronar (and future "modules") do they all combine into an ever-growing system? In other words, do the sounds from the Guitarscapes module show up in Dronar as additional sound sources?

It's a standalone, installs into its own folder, doesn't show up in the original Dronar. Kind of like the different Gravity packs that Heavyocity sells.
