Hey!
I'm a amateur musician who has been starting out making music for around 2 years, during this time i've been working and learning about movie/game soundtrack and had a blast with it. (I'm also abit into musicals)

But i feel like i'm lacking some libraries and want to expand abit.

The brass libraries that have peeked my intrest so far is either "Chris HeinHorns Compact" "Samplemodeling - Brass Bundle" or "ProjectSam - Swing" "Impact soundworks - Straight ahead jazz horns"

"Era 2 medieval legends" for some medieval sounds.

And then some strings "Samplemodeling - Solo & Ensamble Strings" "Chris Hein Strings Compact"

There are more out there on the market but these are the ones that i'm pondering on the most.
If you have any other libraries i should check out let me know!
Help would be appricated thank you! :)

Just kidding.

The best thing is to get what sounds good to you, personally. The Samplemodeling approach is great if you want a lot of control and even more if you like jazz or pop/jazz arranging.

You will get better suggestions if you let everyone know what kind of music you want to write and how intensely you want to get into all this.

Glad to have you here.

Kind regards,

John

Might also he helpful to know your specs. Some libraries need a ton of RAM, others can be heavy on your processor, some need a lot of both. Also, some libraries need to be "played" (or at least some good CC curves) whereas others can sound good without the need to do a lot CC massaging etc. But you probably know that already. Anyways, you should not forget about these aspects ...

Don't think you can go wrong with Era 2 if medieval is on your list of music to make, it like all Eduardo's Era libs are solid choices
