    In the middle of nowhere.
Off topic, sorry for that, but I hope I'm not the only one to giggle each time I'm reading "full Kontakt".

Same here, at that point I mainly wanted the factory lib and all the freebies that were going around. I had Project Sam Orchestral Brass Classic, which qualified me for a cheap upgrade.
Almost 7 years ago, I think.

For me it was a bunch of (now very old) Akai-format sample libraries from Spectrasonics, e.g. Symphony of Voices, Distorted Reality, Heart of Asia, etc. I wanted them available in Kontakt, but I wasn't about to buy new versions of them, and only the full version of Kontakt could do imports of Akai libraries.

Sennheiser's 'DrumMic'a', a free library that I haven't even used a single time since I downloaded and registered it. You could get the crossgrade price to Kontakt full if you had that library.

It wasn't someone else's library that got me to do it, it was the desire to make my own.

On a side note, when was Kontakt actually introduced? I remember running into between 1999 and 2002, but did not get fully get into it until November 2013 when I got NI Komplete Ultimate 9.

Not sure which library it was, probably something by spitfire audio :).
But I'm still not a total kontakt guy, EXS24 remains my main workhorse :)

Project Sam Brass. Way back in Kontakt 2 times when the library was still multi-format and wasn't called "Classic" yet.

Hollowsun, Hideaway, and Sound Dust Libraries. Orange Tree Samples too but most (but not all) of Greg's stuff has been converted to the free player.
