    I was thinking: at it's lowest it starts to be in that range of tone that's more percussive than tone. You could use that. A piece that moves freely between percussive and tonal...

    Sounds like it could work well for horror films! I'd use it kind of as a drone.

    God that's sexy. I'd use it as a low drone to give a sinister emphasis during dynamic buildup. Add a church organ and some wide outrigger string ostinatos, a thumping low analog synth on a sequencer to keep the rythm, huge taikos thundering in the far distance.. congrats you're Hans Zimmer now.



    Or so I wish.
