I always wondered why East West does not give down load links to there larger library's
    Like the platinums and diamonds.

Surely this can not be about size matters.

Could you get these via the composer cloud trial?

I'm not completely sure, but I believe all downloadable products can be downloaded without an active CC subscription. Some Platinum and all Diamond libraries cannot be downloaded, regardless of subscription status. Seems to be about product size and traffic; some of that stuff is huge.

Exactly. Case in point: Hollywood Percussion Diamond is downloadable and it's 75 GB. Probably won't take long before all Platinum and Diamond libs are.

Well I did contact EW and the answer was disappointing:
    "Hi,
If you had the Gold version then you can just download the library using the EW Installation Center, available at soundsonline.com/support!
If you had the Platinum or Platinum Plus version, then these are not available for download, due to their size, and you would need to either locate your DVDs or purchase the CCC Pro HD, as we no longer produce DVDs!
    Thanks!
    Mike"

On Amazon the CCC Pro HD is 130$, so that's my only choice.

    No it is not.

    $99 as I stated earlier.

EDIT- Each major series can be had via backup by clicking on your appropriate link on that page. ie Hollywood series http://www.soundsonline.com/Hollywood-Orchestra-HD

EDIT 2- here is the best deal...2TB drive with EVERYTHING $129

@stigc56 it really depends how much you need them, you can prepare your and give your self a few weeks deadline and search item by item for your dvd discs,

Or go for the HD install, from EastWest or some other like Amazon.

It is disappointing that you need to spend out again but it does seem small in comparison.

But I think it all depends on the need of use.

I went for the deal at Amazon in UK, it's 108£ = 143$ including fast shipping.

That first link goes DIRECTLY to Symphonic Orchestra Platinum, for $99. But I see you spent more money. Oh well. The faster shipping might be worth it, though I got my drive in under a week.

Ugh! I'd hate to install all of that from DVDs anyway.

Well I'm in Denmark it could take a "little" longer. The deal is also with a 2 terabyte usb3 drive, that I maybe could use for something.

I highly suggest using it for backup purposes so you don't find yourself in the same mess again... :D
