What's new

HOURS LEFT | $49 | Parker Oboe

Coincidentally, I just heard (through mere chance, or maybe algorithmic chance?) your Gabrielle Flute yesterday and was blown away by the sound. I shall definitely give this a try.

I don't think there's any other sample library developer right now that manages to stir equal amounts of joy and dread in me, as I once again find my wallet trying to abscond.
Fortunately, the instruments are generally well priced. Or maybe that's "unfortunately," since the wallet tends not to complain as loudly as it might for pricier offerings.

I have Adventure Strings, Adventure Brass and Soaring Strings. All of them are really great libraries. When they have all the basic woodwinds done, I am most definitely gonna buy all of them.

Based on my experience with the clarinet… This seems impressive. I wish I needed an oboe kind of lol.

Thanks for the kind words, folks - means a lot! :2thumbs: Parker Oboe is actually the third oboe I recorded over the course of about 15 months as the first two weren't up to my standards. This stuff is diabolically difficult to produce with the best of players and thankfully Andrew Parker was an absolute monster of an oboist. Definitely the most challenging woodwind I've produced so far.

Maybe your next release needs to be an easier "recovery" library before more woodwinds.

"Cinematic Woodblocks" would surely sell like hotcakes.

Already have the flute and clarinet and bought this without listening to a thing (and I have been very disciplined about purchases lately). Great instruments, very fair price. They get you right to playing and composing which is really a breath of fresh air. I will gladly pay you now for a bassoon (although a bass clarinet or cor anglais wouldn't hurt my feelings either). Congrats on the release. A really nice surprise to me.

Sound fantastic ! Congrats !

Exactly the same here, as I need to have consistant programming across woodwinds, I will not buy before a bassoon is released.

But a bundle with a bassoon...

Better take advantage of the intro if you’re interested. MS doesn’t do bundle completion (yet, at least) or many post intro sales at all.

This is true and even with a bundle, the cost will be higher than if you were to purchase the individual woodwinds during their respective intro periods. We always try to honor the leap of faith folks make purchasing our products during intro for as long as we are able.

Ensemble kalimbas, man. Anthem Kazoos was sort of in that vein but even that library wasn't exactly a cakewalk to produce.

Do the Gabrielle Flute and Parker Oboe use CC1 for dynamics? Beyond the velocity dynamics, I mean. Or is it CC11.
