I have all of Embertone's solo strings, and the ISS set are good, but Josh Bell is really in a whole other class. It may be the most perfectly crafted sample library I have ever played with.

What I do not have and want is the Mountain Dulcimer!

I quite like their flutes. Out of Crystal Flute, Jubal Flute and the Shire Whistle do any particularly stand out to anyone?

And yes, the Joshua Bell violin is something really special.

I'm afraid that's hard to do. I don't know of a more universally praised sample library than the Joshua Bell violin.

Blakus on the other hand, while being a standout product, seems a little closer to the pack. I'm not sure there's a clearcut winner between it and Cinesamples Tina Guo Cello or VirHarmonic Bohemian Cello, for instance. In light of the current sale, however, it's currently the best priced product in that class.

    Best,

    Geoff

    purchased JB Violin.

i prefer my Hein Cellos over Blakus - for now, at least.

TG Cello is lovely, but has some limitations that keep me away.

Had ~ $150. to spend. JB Violin and somebody's toolbox were final pair. Chose the toolbox and feeling Buyer's remorse. :crying:
Not such a bad choice; just knowing JB Violin is such a solid longer-term alternative. :notworthy:

I believe he's referring to Spitfire Audio's British Drama Toolkit.

Ha -- I was thinking Imogen Heap's Box of Tricks, but this probably makes more sense.

    Joshua Bell is stunning.

Got me looking at Bohemian Cello now.

    Smart work.

How is the JB violin for non-classical work? More fiddle type of stuff for country? Or would Blakus and Friedlander be better for non-classical music?

Is the new grand piano on sale? What’s it’s normal price?

I thought it was $199 if I'm not mistaken (for the entire 200GB).
