Clear Cubase retrospective midi record cache with key command?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if there is a way to clear Cubase's retrospective midi record cache without stop and restarting the playhead? I searched through the key commands but couldn't find anything.

I am setting up macros that send a batch of specific CC values and then capture them using retrospective record. Sometimes when I do this Cubase also captures a bunch of MIDI data that preceded the macro, so I must delete it and hit the macro again.

Ideally I could include a "clear midi cache" command in my macro so this wouldn't happen. I know I could include a start/stop of the playhead in my macro, but messing with the playhead is usually a recipe for crashes in my experience.

Any thoughts?
