Celtic - Circassian Circle

Illico

Samuel Le Tonquèze
Hi, I want to share with you my new piece.
Its something with celtic's instruments... I let you discover them.
I come from celtic region in France, Brittany, land of dance and song.
One of my favorites is the Circassian Circle. Stand up, listen... and dance.

Great job !
Takes me back to a few boat festivals I went to in Brittany years back ...
is this all vi's ? I saw a reference in another three you used J bell violin.

Thanks you all, for your "likes" and comments, I'm glad you like it.

@col , I wanted to make something "acoustic" and "authentic", but with 100% VI.

- Guitar : Evolution Songwriter from Orange Tree Samples, tuned in DADGAD.
- Djembe: Kontakt Factory.
- Flutes: Solo Flute from East West Symphonic Orchestra with Embertone Irish Whistle
- Violin/Fiddle: Embertone Joshua Bell Violin .
- Uillenn Pipes: Ilya Efimov instrument.

I took a lot of fun making this piece, because of my origins, but also because these instruments are really wonderful to use.
I think in the future I would do other projects in this style.

Very cool composition and refreshing to see folky stuff here. Also convincing treatment here. Hats off to you and thank you for sharing the track. :)

What a performance with the programming!!

I love that it uses traditional instruments, but the foundation/chord progression is so rooted in something like 90's pop music - it's wonderful... and kinda nostalgic!

Really liked the way this one felt!

Thanks for your kind words!
It was difficult with JB Violin to perform fast bowing and double stops, but it's a very nice instrument.
I can not wait to make another piece with it.

Impressive and fresh in every sense! Great to hear some folk stuff and so well executed! I do practice on my J.Bell and your pice showed me the reason to keep on trying:) Congrats Illico!

Unbelievable, this sounds so absolutely "real" and "live" :). I never been to this "site" of the celtic but it could have been played in Ireland anywhere in a pub. Makes my wish grow to see this part of the celtic.......
