I got it a long time ago and found it very disappointing, both in terms of the sounds and very poor presets. I love damage and hoped this would be similar, but it has very limited functionality.

KarlHeinz, not sure about this. It's actually filled with cinematic effects, so less useful for ambient or chill, although the melodic content is quite good. But yeah, it's still trailer oriented. As such, I do recommend.

Thanks for your opinions..it seems that Atlantica is the best choice from this bundle.

It works as a file, as far as I know, not a library. I have it and loaded it once. But it came free with a bunch of stuff I bought a couple years ago and I don't use it much. So you don't need to register it with NI.

Did you sort out how the Synth Menu works? It's not exactly clear to me how to even load it, though the feature looks great.

Unfortunately not yet. I also seem to be missing two Synth sub folders they mention in the manual, and am not sure where that interface is that is shown on the same page. I sent off a Support request yesterday, but no response yet. Everything else is fine, so something isn’t quite right there, either in the manual or in my Instruments folder.

Support got back to me and pointed out the Synth Menu instrument is contained in the 'Tonal' instrument folder.

From there, just click on 'Synth Menu' on the instrument interface and it displays the utility to combine various sounds.

LOL, I just logged on here to share the same information! :) Heard from support today as well.
Therefore, page 19 of the manual is not only vague and somewhat misleading, it's basically erroneous when it relates to leading a user in the right direction. In any case, glad we both can now move on to other things. Cheers!

I'm going to have to take a look at that when I'm back in the studio. Maybe I didn't look into the synth patches before but I certainly will now!

quick observation on Juggernaut - I picked it up quite some time ago, with the intent of using it as a sound source, not so much an out-of-the-box tool. And I find it really useful in that sense. I am picking up Atlanitca today, not so much as a sound source but as an out-of-the-box tool. Funny how one's approach can change?

But (and I haven't tried Atlantica yet) if you enjoy designing your own sounds I suggest taking another look at Juggernaut. It is capable of creating some very "BIG" sounds, and they do sit nicely in a mix.

I'm still on the fence with APE. I have APE Micro, and really like it. I was just about to purchase APE Elements directly. This is tempting!

I may have to revisit Juggernaut with that in mind then. I think I'm expecting an out-of-the-box tool when it's really a sound design tool.

I went with Atlantica and APE. I don’t really have anything similar to Atlantica. For that type of sound, I usually go for Omni and a bunch of processing. APE is to supplement HZP. Looking forward to both! I’m going to try and write a short cue with just these two libraries after getting to know them.

APE is quite different from libraries like Atlantica and Juggernaut, so no real major overlap there. It's useful to have APE and then perhaps at least one of the others. I bought APE when it first came out, and like nearly all Soundiron products it's excellent and has proven very useful. And there are also so many other great libraries in the Swooshes-Hits-Braams category too from which to choose.

Don't forget that one advantage of Juggernaut over the other libraries in this bundle is that you can use it in Kontakt player, so you don't need the full version of Kontakt. That may swing some people's decision. I would agree that some of the samples in Juggernaut sound best when tweaked a little. For example, in my video demo on the ABD site (the very first DAWcast one) I rolled off some top end for the percussion, had some Sausage Fattener on the drums and EQ'd the little synth riffs slightly. Nothing major though and literally took me seconds. It's all good stuff.

Reuben, just in case you end up confused or searching around like we did, after you go to the Tonal subfolder and choose the Synth Menu (beta) patch, this interface will pop up, not the one in the manual. To get to the one on page 19, just click on this interface where the arrow indicates. I'm sure you could figure out all this on your own, but maybe this will help a little. Cheers!

Bought Atlantica - really impressed with it. Very extensive range.

    I bought Atlantica as well.

Is it just me or the download page (after the payment) looks all messed up in design?

Messed up how? You should be able to find download links for anything you purchase under https://audiobundledeals.com/my-account/

I didn't have any issues with downloading. There were six download files - WAV, Part 1, 2, 3, Instruments, and Extras.
