Battle of the Staccato Strings

I know of, but don’t really know, Sunset Strings. That one really jumped out at me - in a good way! Now I’m gonna have to go listen to more demos, something about the sound really grabbed me!

Both libraries are definitely more suited to an "epic" style, compared to some of the others chosen, e.g. SA Intimate strings.
100% agree, some of the others never aimed at that kind of music, but the result was anyhow fascinating, wasn't it?

Sunset Strings are really wonderful. @Mike Greene did an amazing job, especially with the "Attacks" and "Releases" that you can (don't have to) add.
Here a short video about Sunset Strings, hope it's useful to you

I've just watched your Ostinato tutorial that was linked to this video. Really amazing technique, easy, efficient, epic! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!

Yeah, Martin, I think my accountant would like a word with you!

Really, I didn’t realize exactly what Sunset Strings is capable of! The warmth of the tone is what jumped out at me in your staccato video, but the various attacks and releases are exactly what I have been hearing in my head for the film I’m working on right now. I think I’m about to spend money and then rewrite 20 minutes of cues - thanks a lot, Martin! /s ;)

Yeah Martin, it was very interesting to hear the libraries compared like this, thanks for taking the time to do that. For me it was interesting to near the differences in depth between Albion 1 and Novo for example, until now I hadn't realised how narrow and "coloured/ processed" the sound of Novo is. Another shout out to Realitone for Sunset strings, the tone and detail in the sampling are fantastic. Slightly off topic but I also think @Mike Greene has done an amazing job with Nightfall! :emoji_thumbsup:

I am surprised Fluid Shorts III is not part of this comparison. It has a ton of dynamic layers and RRs. One of the first libraries I'd pull out for this use case.
