Any collaboration DAW ?

Michelob

Pouet pouet !
Hi from Belgium,

I often work with other composers, or music editors on the same piece of music.

At their level, post-production team would also love to compile, for example, some music stems, along with sound design, foley recordings, etc., from all these separate departments.

Is there somewhere some tool that would allow people to simultaneously work onto a shared timeline ? Exactly as you can do in GoogleSheets, for example.

A few years ago, there was something called Ohm-Studio, but it seems to be dead now.

I don't need absolute realtime as the purpose is not playing music or something. Juste seeing wave segments appearing, working on it, listening to all of them, etc.

Now, I'm using Reaper and Dropbox, wich is pretty cool, but do not allow simulaneous work, of course.

Thanks !

Michel

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your answer. It does look like what I'm looking for.

Anyone here using this Cubase's transit ?

Or any other lead ?

Thank you,

Michel

I've messed around with the Cubase collaboration tool, but I was never able to get it to work properly. I wasn't able to find a friend on the server who'd also signed up. The whole thing seems half-baked.

Thanks for your feedbacks. So it seems that this feature is less rare than I thought. I'm gonna check all this out.

You could have a look at Ohm Studio. From what I understand it is specifically made for online live collaborative work. It does seem to have way less features than what you're used to from the big players but if it works it works I guess?

Hi,

@Ruchir : yes great. It seems to do the job for specific DAWs like Logic Audio etc...

@Denkii : Ohm Studio seems to be dead or so : their forum is full of "lookingforescortgirl" messages with no moderation...
