Hello all! Looking to purchase my first orchestral library, and I'm super interested in the Albion series, mostly because of the clean GUI and good starting point for building a library. I tried the composers cloud, and working with EW felt a bit clunky to me. I've been digging around, and it's been tough to find an up to date comparison of all these products. I know that Albion ONE is the "base foundation", but I really write more in a minimalist style, akin to Philip Glass and Jon Brion so I'm wondering if Loegria would be a better first purchase, as it's styled in a more chambered setting, even going so far as to cite Jon Brion specifically as inspiration. My main focus is strings, but I know that Loegria is also an "older" library. I've also been looking at Tundra because I really appreciate Jóhann Jóhannsson's delicate musical tendencies, along with Ragnar Kjartansson and his incredible instrumentations. Both are Icelandic musicians, and in a weird twist, I've been to Iceland myself, and feel an almost physical connection to the sounds they showcased. The only issue is that I've heard Tundra is really more auxiliary, so I'd be concerned I didn't have basics for other projects. Any insight into which would be the best suited first purchase would be really appreciated. Something like a short 4 bars played in all three libraries would be incredible and I'd be forever grateful. Thanks!
