Hi everyone,

In this video, I check out TAIP in the context of my song 'House of Postcards', trying to create a feeling of nostalgia to the whole track by using the plugin on the master buss, enhancing the drum buss and bringing some smooth character and modulation on the lead vocal.

I consider Taip rather a special effect than a tape emu. It's not bad.
Yes, it can be considered as such indeed. It's more assertive in tone and less smooth that the Tape Collection by Ik Multimedia, which remains my favourite when it comes to printing a mix 'to tape' and using the emulation on the master buss. TAIP is really good on drums though and it seems to be less demanding on the CPU than the Tape Collection which is great. I like it a lot to be honest, but I'd probably use it for different reasons that IK's Collection.
