Hmm. The one instrument I bought from them is not a favorite, but this is tempting.

I'de love for someone to convince me I need this bundle ... some of the string demos sound very nice.

Is this worth it? It’s a lot gigs of stuff for pretty cheap. (Granted I have several orchestral packages) I wanted the forum members to weigh in.

I have the symphonic strings, and must say I like the timbre... you have plenty of articulations, 4 mics, separated I and II violins, violas, cellos and basses. Here and there though there are odd resonances, like strings accidentally hit. The legatos don't work well, but being an open kontakt instrument you can always adapt them to your likings. Can't say for the solo strings as I don't have them...

If Rob, my favorite string arranger, says something positive about these I hardly dare to say, that the London Violins were the only purchased sample lib I deleted afterwards :) I am a "keeper" but I definitly knew that these were not for me....and I have tons of sample libraries .....

I too was flirting with this even after seeing a handful of less than favorable accounts.

I guess if you’re not selling enough of your product at €950 then knocking off €800 from the price is a way to move some units.

Thanks for the candor here. I’m not a fan of $120 (approx) mistakes, or any other mistakes with monies for that matter. There’s already a fair amount of waste on my post mortem samples drive.

That's a marketing gimmick and in this case doesn't work in their favor. I guess if someone was looking for their first intro library the KH ensembles at $89 would be a safer bet.

Hmmm these really aren't the prime samples you'd want for professional or even semi-professional composing, in my opinion.

I know $99 for ALL of their samples is supposed to sound impressive, but it kinda just shows how substandard their samples are - undervaluing your own libraries ≠ a higher reputation.

For their €250 string library (when it's not on sale) - you could add about €50 more and get CSS. I know what I would do.

When these came out it wasn't the sound that was the issue as much as the programming. If one were to research this forum when they were released it wasn't negative. I'd assume these would be great if they were given to a skillful kontakt programmer.

actually, the biggest issue is out of tune samples, they peep out here and there, forcing one to find alternatives... anyway, I've taken a midi I had in a folder and adapted to LSS to see what could be done to make them sound not so bad. Here it is, and well, yes, my better intentions non withstanding the limits of the library do undoubtedly show

The VSTBuzz video would suggest that the solo French horn library is included in the sale yet I don't see it included in the promotion wording anywhere.

That's weird that they haven't put it on the deal page. I did the video and can say that it is definitely included with the bundle and is a very decent horn. I'll ask the guys over at VST Buzz to include the details on the page. Reuben x

Nice piece, but I'm not liking those strings at all.
