I bought but haven't yet played through. The walk-through blew me away, awesome! Made me think think that if Century Woodwinds is this good, what a treat!

Talking of which, is that confirmed to be in the making or are we still speculating?

As usual for 99% of my posting, total speculation!

I'm actually impressed! Love that David Sanborn sound from Sax 1!

Please let me know how it plays. I like the sound but have been burned by uneven programming or certain arts that don’t fit together (classic 8Dio). Troells always makes it sound great, but if I’m constantly keyswitching and tweaking, I won’t use it as much as the Swam saxes. These just seem to have a bit more dirt which I could really use.

Am I wrong or did I only see 2 Tenors and 1 Baritone on the website?
So it hardly can be David Sanborn like since he is an alto player as far as I know. This is not ment as an „I know it better“ statement but more as „it’s a pitty“.
I could need saxes but I’m missing the alto in these 8dio saxes.

    +1 Agree

IMO it was a strange decision not to have an Alto,Tenor and Baritone Sax as the 3 choices.Although most of the walkthrough sounds nice at 1 point both Tenors are playing together it sounded too much like a keyboard player playing samples.
Most of this does sound very good but 2 Tenors and no Alto had me a bit bewildered as well.

Yeah strange decision on the instruments. Makes me think there will be another Trio on the way (soprano + 2 altos). On the videos the legato seemed like pure butter. I'll make my expression map and play through it this weekend.

Troels said they'd be releasing a Soprano Sax library & it would be KennyG inspired ;-(

    No thanks lol

but it seems like they forgot about Alto Sax ,this is something I just don't understand.

Really nice tone. I was hoping to hear at least one uptempo hard bop demo, but it’s all languid stuff. I wonder if it’s in there? It certainly seems like it could be....

The legato seemed very reactive, handling even the really quick stuff. We'll see!

For real. Altos are great. Alto and tenor in unison are even better. Alto and tenor in octaves is heavenly

Perhaps Troels is planning to sell the alto by itself.
    Strange indeed!
