Irene Adler Theme (Sherlock) for Quintett

Hi all! I finished the first version of a "mockup" of the Irene Adler theme from the TV Series Sherlock. While the original is actually for full orchestra, I decided to get more into Orchestral Tools First Chairs and did it as a string quintett. I'd be especially interest in mixing tips and...

Orchestral Tools Berlin Harpsichords | Official Demo

Excited to have my first official demo for Orchestral Tools up on their new Berlin Harpsichords page! I used the French Harpsichord, mostly the Back 8 with some Front 8 and Staccato articulations. Having actual recorded staccato makes a world of difference in realism. Mics are the Close 2 and...

Cinematic Studio Strings vs. Berlin Inspire1/2

Quick background: My only strings are Komplete 10 so I want to get better strings for both my desktop and laptops. FWIW I have played piano forever and used to play horn in orchestras, so I know some orchestration - but want this orchestral library to be pretty simple and quick. I used to...

    Berlin Strings: A Personal Review

Hello my friends, I’m quite new to this community, and have not seen very many personal reviews of Berlin Strings, likely due to its cost. For those considering it, here’s a review I uploaded on my channel last week. Please enjoy! Feel free to subscribe if you would like to see more reviews.

Berlin Brass Release Triggers out of control on Horn Sus patch

Hi everyone, The Berlin Brass Horn sus patches have extremely annoyingly loud release triggers so when you play quiet and you lift your fingers off the keys there is a huge dynamic boost! The release knob in the instrument only changes the duration of the release not the volume. This makes the...

BWW Soloists I users out there...sustain question

I've had BWW Soloists for a while and I try to use it but always run into a problem. Their legato/sustain patches don't loop. I get it, they are trying to be realistic, but frankly their players have very small lungs and should be able to hold the note longer. Any fixes for that?

    Mixing Different String Libraries

Hello there, I was recently watching some videos by Junkie XL where he discusses the score he made for The Dark Tower. And in it, he mentions how he mixes Berlin Strings with Hollywood Strings because the tightness of the Berlin Strings mixes well with the openness of the Hollywood Strings. I'd...

Berlin Strings Single and Multi Articulation question

I actually have two questions concerning the capsule system :). Firstly, in the Orchestral Tools Help Desk, it says you can combine Single Articulation patches with Multi Articulation patches using the Mute Instrument keyswitch, but it's unclear as to how this can be accomplished. How exactly...
