I created this macro in the Project Logical Editor that will remove empty tracks. But if the track was nested in a folder, the empty folders will not be erased. I haven't figured out how to do that.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Audacity just wasn't designed to do this as I needed it done. I ended up purchasing Switch Audio File Converter by NCH Software ($25). I just drag-and-drop the files into the app and click Convert and it's done. No fuss - no muss!

I got FFmpeg installed and was able to successfully export AIFF files, however, the filenames didn't include the extension ".aiff". I had to edit the filenames manually. Is there a way to tell the Audacity export to include that as part of the Custom FFmpeg Export?

I see that you have to manually install FFmpeg due to patent restrictions. Does this support AIFF?

Ok, I downloaded and tried Audacity. Unfortunately it doesn't support AIFF export on the PC. It probably does if running on a Mac.

I had the same experience. Tried twice with the downloader I had, then updated it and got the same results.

I was looking into this course. It appears to still be running. It mentions an associated Facebook group but I can’t find it, at least under public searches. Does the group still exist? Since the course is not interactive a social group like the FB one would be an incentive.

Hopefully the next update will be available before the end of the year. It will include some audio features. It still won’t be a DAW, but it’s really cool.

Both Atlantica and Dragon are pretty old by now. I believe they were their flagship products. Both hold up pretty well and I still use them to this day. If you don’t have either I would recommend getting this bundle. So cheap!

Quick play around with Berlin strings. Octave Scale Runs for Violins 1 seems new. I can't recall or find them in the Kontakt version. The "doubles" patch works but "triplets" doesn't (both vln 1 and vln 2).

I only remove the reverb. I leave all panning as is. I usually don't have compression on in StaffPad anyway so that's not a concern. I also create a separate version with the reverb removed.

A limitation of 12 players (assuming you have the paid subscription) is not going to replace the desktop version anytime soon. Maybe they're just trying to get people hooked and come out with a PRO subscription ($99/yr) that will have unlimited players?

Every track instrument is disabled and for every Kontakt instrument I've purged all samples. Re-enabling a track takes one or two seconds. Samples get loaded as I play. I used this same approach (purging samples) in my VEPro setup.

That happened to me before I realized that I was hitting the mute keyswitches. Since they’re velocity sensitive they would become muted when hitting them lightly. Had to hit them again with more force to turn them back on.

If you’re just looking for a solution that mimics writing on paper you can always use the markup pen and sketch that way. Of course, you won’t get any playback (just like paper). But if you want to have the playback ability you’ll have to learn how to write with StaffPad penmanship.
