My wild guess: there will be no K13. Instead, NI will move to a subscription model that covers all their products. There were some hints to something like this when NI "restructured" (i.e. laid off people) last year.
I'm using AB_LM TBProAudio, works like a charm. This one works by inserting a plugin instance before and after the plugin(s) you want to match.

Hehe that's harsh :D I find Ceres is ok if it's not out there solo, unprocessed. Also probably depends on style as well. Did this jam yesterday with a few Ceres loops I premade ITB and played on Octatrack through Polymoon. https://clyp.it/zpet3qfj
Ethera does sound really good, thanks for the tip to both of you! Yeah I agree CERES can sound quite artificial at times but especially after processing it a bit it can sound super lovely.
What I'm confused by is all the different Ethera editions, can't seem to find a good comparison between...
Incredibly good-sounding drum machine sample library for sale because I don't use it enough.
I'm asking for $50, plus the new owner needs to pay $25/25€ to Soniccouture for the transfer, making the total $75 for you.
Simply put, I love how Celestial Voices CERES sounds and would like another alternative similar to it, possibly with more options for affecting the sound. I noticed Auddict also has Celestial Voices CALYPSO now, but it's a lot less interesting to me personally since the style is a bit different...
I posted my Mixface impressions in this thread, my opinion hasn't changed since I got it: https://vi-control.net/community/threads/studiologic-mixface-usb-bluetooth-midi-controller.70639/
Faders are super smooth, and like I said in the other thread, they have a bit of resistance so you're not...
Basically DAW mode = track controller. In this mode, the four buttons in the lower right corner select between different functions (Rec, Mute, Solo, Select), which affects what the buttons below the faders will do. This row of buttons also illuminate according to the mode to visualize record...
Just got it today. I'm using Bitwig which is not an officially supported DAW so taking it into use isn't super straightforward, which I was prepared for when buying. Setting Mixface to Ableton Live mode and adding it as a MCU device in Bitwig made the transport & track controls Just Work, which...
I'm going to replace my MIDI keyboard with a Linnstrument soon, and have been looking into a solution to replace transport buttons and some other functions I'm going to lose in the process. The Stream Deck looks like a really interesting option that would be of more general use than a dedicated...
Yeah I feel the same. Definitely not regretting the Komplete purchase but I didn't get that much from the orchestral instruments side. I was doing some ostinato type stuff and comparing the libraries I had (Kontakt Factory, Symphony Essentials, Session Strings Pro, Palette Primary Colors...
Also just bought Sketchpad, really happy with the purchase! The first time I have actually enjoyed composing with orchestral samples (yeah I'm a newb), I often got quite frustrated with the stuff that comes with Komplete.
Had a quick demo, melodies felt far too random, not interesting enough to be of use even for inspiration. Something like the Riffer would be good for generating melody ideas, but this is not it.
I had reasonable success imitating feedback using a resonant filter with keyboard tracking, with send amount to the filter modulated by the mod wheel:

As said in the comments of the clip, I'm sure the effect could be tweaked further to make it sound better...
Caved in and upgraded to Standard, immediately got some nice, soft, felty sounds for my new track :) I'm using an external delay and reverb though instead of the built-in ones, for some really nice, lush atmospheres.
Any tips on getting a "felt piano" style sound from Pianoteq? Think Spitfire Labs Soft Piano / NI Una Corda / Ólafur Arnalds. I have the Stage version with Steingraeber, and I can get in the right direction by playing softly and using pedals. Could I tweak the sound to get even closer by...
