I was interested in the dynamic layers of Lineage Percussion - this has helped a little. Its indeed different for every instrument: Seems Gran Cassa and Snare Ensemble got 10 dynamic layers, TomTom and SysCymbals have 7, Piatti, RotoTom and Congas 4.

Thanks for the tip! I've checked on their website - at least for SSS they only seem to have sampled min3rd and maj3rd trills for 1st violins and cellos, but not for 2nd violins or violas. Which... is kinda strange. 2nd violins one could fake I guess. Violas not so much. Strange decision IMO.

True, sounds again like multiple articulations playing at once, just like the mess at certain CC values when they also overlap. I've also just noticed that these trills go up to a perfect 5th in Legacy, but in Revive and Sine only to a 4th. And are really only usable up to a 3rd. Gotta admit...

Edit: I take it back, because what LoMP has posted sounds fine to my ears. What's in Sine does NOT.

Gotta agree here - the NP3 version to me sounds way better. The one with NP4/VSL has some weirdness going on in the low register pretty near the beginning already (around 00:20). The lead instruments sound fine, but a lot of the background/bass stuff sounds rather messy to my ears.

Same here. I had BWW (Revive) for a while, but replaced them with CSW when it came out. Way more consistent, wider dynamic range, I like the sound better (which admittedly is very subjective) and way less expensive.

Yes, had the same problems downloading the Cello longs & shorts. Basses, Violins 1: No problem. The Cellos did not download although I tried several times. Just gets stuck after the first few percent.

I'm not sure where I got this from, but what I use as action for disabling a track is a custom action, consisting of these two actions: SWS: Bypass FX on selected track(s) Track: Set all FX offline for selected tracks Works like a charm. :)

Hey Garry, another question! :) I only just noticed that all files are named 'Legato test'. Does that mean we are only supposed to use the legato/sustain articulations? At least for a couple of notes in phrase C I'd have used a staccato one.

I've basically set it up the same way in Reaper, just using an old spare tablet to trigger the actions, so I don't have to remember the shortcuts :) Works really nicely.
